Grace Bryant is a budding children's author and illustrator. She aspires to be published, to inspire others to love literature and to create spaces in which imagination can thrive.
She lives in Canberra, where she gained a Bachelor of Communication (Creative Writing). In 2014, Grace was the recipient of the Get Real! Canberra 'Best Writing' prize, for Oh No, Rollo! In 2015, Grace was excited/nervous/thrilled to present her first exhibition of illustrated works. 2017/18 has been a productive time for Grace; she was invited to join the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) Canberra committee, completed a Graduate Certificate in Professional Writing (Editing), contributed artwork to the group exhibition HerStory, at Smith's Alternative Gallery and received third place in the Children's and Young Adult Writers And Illustrators Conference (CYA) competition, for her story The Box.
Grace works full time at the University of Canberra. In her spare time, you'll find Grace running short writing courses for adults at the Canberra Institute of Technology. This lady is also a yogi and reads like it's a competitive sport. She describes herself as whimsically pragmatic, or as a practical daydreamer.
